Sake breweries can be seen everywhere in the town of Fushimi and are a symbol of the city. Among them, Gekkeikan boasts a long history. Near the head office of Gekkeikan is the Okura Memorial Museum, built in an earthen storehouse. The museum provides an easy-to-understand guide to the sake brewing process with video and display panels, and also exhibits tools used in sake brewing in the past. Visitors can even try their hand at sake tasting and receive a sake souvenir on the way home. Reservations are required when visiting the museum by sightseeing bus. 15 or more people can make reservations in advance for explanations of the exhibits.
